Core Values

Growth. Connection. Authenticity.

I hope to leave my students with

In my classes, I hope you find challenge, growth, and thoughtfulness.

where i’m from

I am from the thick, salty air and brackish waters at the Gulf of the Mississippi. I’m from strong female educators who sparked a deep curiosity for learning and a devotion to cultivating the seeds of others. I’m from genuine smiles to passersby, beyond the expected Southern platitudes. I’m from a richly mixed blood of Creole seasonings and French expressions. I’m from exercising both sides of my brain in science labs and art studios. I’m from skipping up the US latitudes, from LA to TX to MO to NE to MN. I’m from an attraction to languages and quick, deep connections with the paths of those I cross. I’m from love bathed deeply in empathy, and from a split home that taught me how to be a better man. I’m from finding light through listening to others’ lived experiences.

Yoga helped me find my center as I started life after college, eventually leading me to become a 500-hour certified yoga teacher. I completed my 200-hour teacher training with True Love Yoga in Kansas City in 2018, with a focus on Vinyasa and Hatha. I later completed my 300-hour training with Power Life in 2023, grounded in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Meditation, Yin, and Pranayama, among other practices.

what to expect in class

In my classes, I hope you find challenge, growth, and thoughtfulness. I want you to realize the knowledge that lives within you and to capture something on your mat that you can carry with you beyond the studio. Know that you are teaching me just as much (if not more) as I am guiding you. Let’s have some fun as we move together!
